  • Overview

    The Local Traffic Manager is responsible for contract order entry and the OSI approval queue. This person will also solicit traffic instructions and commercial content from the advertising, agencies and sales, as well as manage short and long term avails and complete the daily ION O&O traffic logs. We are searching for a personable and diligent individual who is punctual and dependable, and capable of identifying and correcting process errors.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for generating, editing and verifying accuracy of daily program logs ensuring all paid programs and commercials run in compliance with agency instructions
    • Format all necessary paid programs
    • Responsible to notify and work closely with P&I and Sales to ensure accurate processing of all orders, copy, make-goods, and discrepancies
    • Audit placement to confirm that all spots are given required separation, rotation and check for possible conflicts
    • Work directly with advertisers and agencies to acquire commercial copy instructions and determine delivery status of missing creative or new media
    • Coordinate with TOC on new media arriving electronically from Extreme Reach, Comcast Ad Delivery or Yangaroo transmission
    • Apply commercial copy to contracted lines within flight per advertiser instructions
    • Reconciliation of daily logs
    • Contract entry and maintenance and verifying accuracy for ION’s O&O stations
    • Provide backup support to staff members when on PTO
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • 2+ years in related functions, Finance background helpful
    • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work well under pressure against tight deadlines and changing priorities
    • Works independently with little supervision and strong decision making skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Detail oriented team player with a solid commitment to accuracy and efficiency
    • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to acquire new skills and additional duties
