The Vice President, Distribution Analytics must be an expert in maintaining large and complex datasets, using data to analyze issues relevant to ION Distribution, and presenting data and analysis in clear and relevant ways to decision makers.
Work with ION Senior Executives to provide timely and thoughtful advice on potential financial implications (risks, opportunities and alternatives), issues and consequences of distribution framework and other strategic initiatives.
Work with both the Broadcast and MVPD Distribution teams and support them on deal negotiations.
Oversee the analytics team to ensure the updating and distribution of all key metrics related to paid and unpaid distribution.
Liaise with Operations, Research and Accounting teams on data needs.
Provide reporting to finance and others as required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution finance and strategy or other relevant subject matter expertise.
Knowledge of broadcasting and cable television industries is a plus.
Strategic and analytical leader.
Strong business acumen of deal economics and structure, MFNs, and retransmission consent.
Strategist with the ability to analyze and present distribution and deal models to the executive team.
