  • Overview

    ION is seeking a sales professional with a dedicated focus on advertising sales on ION’s broadcast television platform to the Digital Technology industry (Facebook, Google, etc.). The Director will be responsible for generating new advertising accounts and revenue for ION Television.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in conjunction with ION Client Solutions team on a deep market analysis, executing a strategic, go-to market sales road map;
    • Develop sales strategies that include highlighting the power of broadcast homes and ION's brand value; 
    • Cultivate existing and develop new relationships among clients to attract new advertisers to the network;
    • Research emerging technologies to build a pipeline of potential new clients; 
    • Proactively communicate television industry trends and marketplace changes, as it pertains to ratings transparency and return on investments, to client base on a regular basis;
    • Work collaboratively with ION Sales Team to coordinate account communications.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of television selling or related advertising sales experience;
    • Expert knowledge of consumer-oriented technology companies, with strong client contacts within the industry;
    • Proven success and track record in a similar role; 
    • Analytical skills, including an understanding of Nielsen and sales-account metric data;
    • High energy, self-starter; 
    • Monthly travel required;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
