    The Sales Research Analyst is responsible for supporting Sales organization. You are a self-starter and will distill down data from multiple sources and extract meaningful insights that highlights ION as a highly effective vehicle for advertisers. You should have extensive research knowledge to translate metrics into effective sales positioning.

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to create thoughtful and innovative audience analyses in order to best position ION’s story in the marketplace
    • Manage and prioritize requests from various sides of the Ad sales organization, including quick turnaround ad hoc requests
    • Collaborate with Analytics team maintain clean datasets, provided either internally or licensed from vendors
    • Use an extensive range of research tools and databases to identify key metrics, trends and insights that successfully position ION
    • Apply a curiosity around media, television, and consumer engagement with media content to prepare data summaries that speak to ION’s wide and engaged television audience
    • Strike the balance between informed, deep insights and summaries that are concise and coherent

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
    • 3-8 years’ work experience in media or advertising analytics, i.e. TV network, advertising agency or client experience positioning data for ad sales teams and clients; ability to "tell a story" with data
    • Hands-on experience with television measurement tools and consumer data sources (Nielsen Media Research, GfK MRI, Simmons, Kantar, Catalina, iSpot etc.)
    • Ability to interpret data to create a compelling narrative
    • Excellent verbal, written, data visualization and presentation skills
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
