  • Overview

    The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing functions in the areas of finance, budget administration, and analysis for ION Television's Station Group as it relates to the Post-Auction Station Repack.


    • Update the financial section of the Form 399 for the FCC submission of estimated and actual reimbursable costs by repack station.
    • Quickly research and follow-up on any Requests for Information from the FCC for repack submissions.
    • Accurately update and maintain tracking of each station's repack budget and actual expenditures.
    • Prepare reimbursement forms for FCC review of expenditures and track reimbursements.
    • Model the cash flow impact of the repack based on FCC reimbursement guidelines.
    • Provide detailed operational expense tracking and analysis.
    • Prepare risk analysis on various repack aspects such as transmitter, tower moves, etc.
    • Maintain an organized database of all documentation to support repack costs by station and vendor.
    • Maintain and distribute a weekly repack financial report and metrics.
    • Translate engineering and technical information into a format that can be understood by non-technical individuals.
    • Reporting to include mining data and creating reports.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required.
    • Attention to detail extremely important.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of NetSuite and Host Analytics a strong plus.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work while paying great attention to detail is a must.
