  • Overview

    The Network Operations Director will manage a team of broadcast network engineers and must have an expert level of understanding of the convergence of IT and Broadcast technology that is necessary to maintain and support a broadcast television facility.


    • Oversee network broadcast and studio technical support teams and systems (hardware, software, storage, and networking).
    • Oversee 24/7 Master Control Operations.
    • Foster client service relationships with key stakeholders and use dashboards to report progress to leadership team.
    • Provide design, installation, integration and support for broadcast system upgrades and new project deployments.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot the integrity and security of the broadcast systems IT networks.
    • Author and publish technical documentation; provide detailed reports documenting the ongoing work, repairs, longer-term issues and new initiatives.
    • Work with outside vendors to achieve strategic and financial goals.


    • 10+ years’ experience in media operations.
    • 5+ years’ experience in network operations management.
    • Strong leader that collaborates well with team and others to solve problems.
    • Experience with production/post-production software (Avid, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Chyron based Graphic Systems, etc.).
    • Experience with SAN, LTO, and object-based storage systems.
    • Experience with managing IP addressing, file and directory permissions and networking concepts and terminologies.
    • Working knowledge of Network infrastructure and operations including Cisco switches.
    • Working Knowledge of VM and Database environments and configurations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft, Linux, and Apple operating systems.
    • Demonstrated expert ability in troubleshooting and analysis.
    • Effectively communicate the status of systems and actions within production environment, including risk assessment, both verbally and through documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Change oriented individual that actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change.
    • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays on case by case basis.
