  • Overview

    The Head of Human Resources will plan, develop, direct and implement HR policies and related services in support of the company’s business objectives and pay-for-performance culture. The successful candidate will supervise and provide consultation to management on staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, all while focused on the efficient use of company resources. Working with the company’s legal team, the Head of Human Resources will ensure company compliance with federal, state and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and evaluate organizational design, training and benefits programs.
    • Key leader in performance assessment processes, including goal setting, development, succession and retention plans.
    • Manage and administer recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding processes; ensure staffing needs are met.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of company programs by compiling and analyzing data.
    • Work with in-house counsel on employment-related legal matters.
    • Lead corporate programs and initiatives, such as Health & Financial Wellness and Healthy Lifestyle programs to meet participation goals.
    • Ensure adherence to FCC EEO guidelines and related record-keeping obligations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
    • 8-10+ years of HR Generalist experience required, ideally in a multiple-facility environment.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience dealing with EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, HIPAA, and Title VII.
    • Strong training facilitation preferred.
    • Experience working with employee records, security and retention, and proper handling of confidential employee information.
    • HR metrics and performance measurement.
    • PC proficiency including HRIS, payroll, MS Office applications, ADP and database management.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong planning and problem solving skills.
