  • Overview

    ION is looking for a dynamic and experienced sales leader to oversee Sales Development. In this role, you will be responsible for developing overall sales strategies by breaking new categories and bringing in new business where ION is looking to grow market share.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee team of business development specialists, including recruitment of new team members.
    • Identify new advertiser categories, recruit talent and develop business plans to drive revenue growth of seventy-five million dollars annually.
    • Develop high level management relationships at agency and client levels in an effort to bring in twenty new advertisers annually.
    • Evaluate sales performance by category and modify strategies to gain better results.
    • Collaborate with Sales Marketing and Research tams to develop category specific positioning.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required and a minimum of 15 years of Sales Management experience working with advertising agencies/media buying services and process involved in bringing clients to market.
    • Demonstrated ability to bring in new revenue.
    • Experience overseeing a team of sales executives.
    • Extensive sales experience and relationships working directly with high level decision makers such as Agency and Client CMO’s, SVP’s and VP’s of Marketing, and Brand Managers.
    • Must bring unique strengths in the areas of strategic thinking and analytical capability.
    • Strong presentation and client engagement skills.
    • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of computer software.
