ION Media has recently developed its Broadcast Engineering Program. The three-month program is committed to growing high potential talent by accelerating the development of recent college graduates through technical and professional training and a variety of projects and assignments relating to network operations, station and transmitter engineering, and station operations.
The Broadcast Engineering Program is made up of two phases. In Phase I, the candidate will receive a combination of theory, classroom, and lab training with exposure to other network departments to gain an understanding of a full broadcast career path. This phase will take place at our state-of-the-art facility located in Clearwater, Florida.

The Director, Inventory Management manages a team of planners and analysts and is responsible for pricing, inventory management and analytical direction of advertisement sales. This includes managing the network's rate card process, supporting pre-sales negotiations, reviewing and approving media plans and linear inventory orders, recognizing marketplace opportunities, managing fulfillment by optimizing audience liability and maximizing inventory utilization.

The Traffic Manager is responsible for scheduling and finalizing the daily traffic logs as well as managing short and long-term avails for ION broadcast networks. This person will also solicit traffic instructions and commercial content from the advertising agencies and commercial delivery vendors. The traffic Manager will engage in daily communication and coordination with internal Pricing & Inventory and Sales departments. We are searching for a personable and diligent individual who is conscientious and dependable.

The Pricing & Inventory Analyst is responsible for acting as an entry-level liaison between ION finance, sales management and agency contacts as it pertains to broadcast orders and changes, account management, flight requests, inventory availability, unit rate adjustments and frequency revisions.

The Digital Networks Account Executive is responsible for selling air time for ION Media’s two 24/7 multi-cast networks available on broadcast, cable, and satellite television. This position is focused on developing new and growing business among major agencies via strong relationships and superior client service.

The Systems Administrator II is a mid-level administrative position within the IT Shared Services team. Primary responsibilities will include planning, design, installation and performing ongoing administration of ION’s Shared Services server infrastructure as well as related initiatives and projects. This position will work closely with peers, IT management, business leaders, as well as directly with 3rd party vendors to design and administer solutions that address business-driven requirements.
The ideal candidate should be motivated, resourceful and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with peers both within the IT teams as well as with non-IT business partners. Your goal will be to ensure our systems and infrastructure run smoothly and efficiently and develop solutions that meet the needs of the business.

The Program Research team is a research and analytics group focused on measuring the audience on ION’s Television networks. We are looking for a Director - Programming Research who will be hands-on and responsible for the supervision and direction of the team with specific emphasis on improving viewership and monetization of content.
The ideal candidate is an expert in TV program research techniques and inferential statistics to recognize, design and implement projects that provide answers to questions focused on Content and Scheduling effectiveness. Ideal candidates will be strategic thinkers, hands-on with audience data, and will possess an extensive understanding of TV research and ratings, audience measurement and analytics.

The Distribution Analyst is responsible for providing financial & analytical support to the Distribution team. This individual will work closely with the Director, Distribution Analytics and the distribution team and develop an in-depth understanding of systems, processes and data. The individual will then use this knowledge to collect and assimilate data and create, reports, dashboards, and actionable analytics & solutions that will help solve challenging business problems within the distribution department.

The Data and File Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the management of all data on corporate shared drives and storage repositories. This individual will be expected to develop best practices for digital data and file storage company wide and create metrics-driven models to help ensure best practices are followed. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide technical support to the Executive office and be the point person to resolve issues efficiently and seamlessly.

The ideal candidate for the this position should have experience in MVPD or Broadcast distribution analysis. Candidate must be an expert in maintaining large and complex datasets, using data to analyze issues relevant to ION Distribution, and presenting data and analysis in clear and relevant ways to decision makers.

The Chief Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the leadership and management of all day-to-day technical, operational and administrative requirementsof one of the ION Media Station Group locations. This hands-on individual will manage and maintain all broadcast equipment and systems used in the daily operation of the station as well as any ancillary systems used in the support and troubleshooting of technical issues as they arise. The Chief Broadcast Engineer will also work closely with the Station Engineer/Technician in developing their knowledge and understanding of the various needs of the station as effective back-up support staff.

The VP, Legal brings legal leadership, negotiation, and management skills to ION's contract negotiations and administrative needs. This covers ION's broad range of contractual relationships, including real estate, vendors, hardware, software and service providers. The role involves negotiation and drafting of new agreements, as well as administration of existing agreements. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve results and problem-solving in negotiation settings, in addition to alerting management to action items or risk factors arising from ION's portfolio of contracts.

The Executive Technical Support Specialist will provide technological support to the Executive office and will be the point person to resolve these issues efficiently and seamlessly.
The ideal candidate must possess a high level of technological knowledge to analyze issues on the spot, determine root causes and troubleshoot for resolution. The individual must be an intuitive problem solver, anticipate needs, and be one step ahead of the Executive office. Ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms to Executive office and other End Users. High level expertise of the Microsoft Office suite. This individual will be expected to set the bar for developing best practices for digital tool usage companywide.
